Project Overview
Comprehensive structural design and steel workshop drawings for the Arcade building within Al-Malahy Amusement Park.
Challenge
The client required an economic and safe design of the steel structure of the Arcade building which covers an area of about 1500 sqm with a mezzanine floor covering an area of about 1000 sqm. To cope with the architectural and operational requirements, large spans with minimum number of columns were required, a clear height of about 12 m was adopted. Furthermore, the steel structure was designed to accommodate live and electromechanical loads much higher than the common practice.
Our Approach
The project required designing a large-span steel structure covering approximately 1,500 sqm with a mezzanine of 1,000 sqm and a clear height of 12 m. Coregineer developed an efficient and safe structural system capable of supporting high live and electromechanical loads while optimizing material usage and construction feasibility.
